ABOUT US

Chris Clark, owner of Trash Culture, is an accomplished musician with a deep-rooted passion for music. He has established a career in the music scene of Doylestown as a jazz guitarist, guitar & bass teacher at School of Rock Doylestown, and owner of his unique, boutique guitar store.

Throughout his high school years, he earned the prestigious position of first chair saxophonist in the jazz band, and became the drum major of an award-winning marching band.

Chris studied Composition at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Later, he lived in the vibrant music scenes of Austin, TX and New Orleans, LA, playing guitar and bass in various garage, punk, and rockabilly bands, also making a living selling guitars.

Chris has dedicated over 30 years to studying jazz guitar. Today, he performs as one half of the dynamic local act: the Malcom-Clark jazz duo.

After years of working at big guitar franchises, Trash Culture was built upon Chris’s dream of creating a shop of his own, family-operated and full of local charm. At Trash Culture, you will find an array of unique guitars, basses, amps, and pedals, cool t-shirts, and a business built from a true passion for music.
